…Three of the six public companies that employ Thompson as a board member received “F” grades and one received a “C” grade this year from GMI Ratings, which rates companies for their environmental, social and governance risks that could affect corporate performance.
GMI is a respected rating agency that advises institutional investors and corporations.
The other public companies that employ Thompson as a board member were too small to receive a letter grade. The companies were criticized for a variety of actions, including poor disclosure practices, restricting shareholder rights, having board members who serve on multiple corporate boards and overpaying top executives.
